Assurant provides up to four weeks of 100% paid parental leave to help parents bond with a new child, whether due to birth, adoption or surrogacy. This benefit is available to all benefits-eligible employees after 90 days of employment. You can take the time off in four consecutive weeks, or split the time and use it in two, two-week increments. Parental leave must be taken within six months of the birth or placement of a child and is in addition to any pregnancy leave taken under the Short-Term Disability plan.
